Deserting Christ for Racism

JMJ. I really wish someone, preferably from the black community, would explain something to me. Now I freely acknowledge that the vast majority of black Americans are wonderful, God-fearing folks, primarily Christian of the Baptist, Methodist-Episcopal, and Pentecostal bent. And all of them would profess to being adamantly pro-life and pro-Christ. How then is it that (according to many polls) almost all are supporters of the Democratic Party and its candidate Barack Obama? The Democrats, with few exceptions, are pro-Choice/pro-Abortion, in favour of same sex marriage, support fetal stem cell research even though it results in the destruction of the fetus, and would probably not turn their backs on the occasional need for euthanasia!

Almost every moral plank of the Democratic Party is anti-Christian. Is it that important to blacks that we elect a black president? I find this terribly racist and distressing as a Christian. I will vote for any man or woman, of any colour, who supports the culture of life. Is it that easy to turn their backs on the Man who died to bring them eternal life? Now I know that our economy is on the rocks and many are out of work. I would have thought that the saving of one innocent life, though, transcends and trumps all of these social problems. When asked point-blank if an American's human rights begin at conception, Obama said that that was above his job description. Please! Am I missing something?
